MORGAN FISHER
Empire, Michigan

I studied liberal arts and visual arts at Lewis and Clark College in  Portland, Oregon and completed my art degree at the University of Utah with a BFA in  painting.  My love for nature, passion for the water and mountains,  and interest in multi- cultural art and expression influence both my  subject matter and style. My artistic passion is both printmaking  (intaglio, monoprint, and woodcut) and painting, because I can work expressively.  For five years I painted and worked from home studio and the University of Utah printmaking and painting studios.  For  nearly six years I worked both out of my home studio and in the print shop at the Hui  No'eau in Maui, HI. Recently my son and I moved to northern Michigan where I work and create art out of our home.

" Morgan's art is incredible.  Her gift is capturing the dynamic energy her subjects have in real life. "
                                                                 - Lyle Lovett

"Having grown up on our family ranch in the Texas panhandle and playing football for the University of Texas (and professionally for the LA Raiders) , I have a true appreciation for anything having to do with Longhorns.  Morgan's print of this longhorn is a true treasure that captures the spirit of this great state and the people that helped shape it. I am thrilled and honored to have bought the first one off the press.  We will love and cherish this piece for life."
